Ok, this expired problem is a bit rubbish, also looking at the source to the silverlight page - why is one of the divs where silverlight is created called "buggy-thing"
Anyway, you seem to be annoyed that the link in the alert wasn't selectable. This is true, but you can do ctrl+c on the dialogue and paste it into notepad - you get all the text including text for the title and button (hopefully this still works on vista), now that text is in notepad, select the url and put it in your browser. A bit long winded but easier than having to type it manually.

The page won't work though. My advice is, uninstall your version of silverlight using add remove programs and try the silverlight web page again (or www.microsoft.com/silverlight/install.aspx). You'll install the plugin fine. Seamless! *snigger*

Sorry i had to laugh reading this one. But its just like my first (and last) .NET2-Framework experience which ended up in a corrupt installation with no chance for going forth or back (uninstall/reinstall attempts just brought up nice Windows dialog telling me that my installation is corrupt). So I went to go re-watch Scott Guthrie's video illustrating the new upcoming MVC (Model-View-Controller) framework for ASP.NET when I noticed that the content is in Silverlight. That's fine, MS is trying so hard to push Silverlight as the answer to the world's problems that it's probably a requirement that all new content from MS come out as Silverlight content. Whatever, I can cope.... normally. However... today I couldn't see the content. Why? Because I got a message that looks like this:
