Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in relationship management, announced today that Mobileworld Operating Pty Ltd (trading as Crazy John’s), has implemented a Convergys solution enabling the delivery of highly segmented new mobile services to Crazy John’s customers. Crazy John’s is Australia’s largest independent mobile phone retailer.
To support Crazy John’s transition from a wireless reseller to a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) with total control over the products and services it offers, the Convergys solution incorporates a 5-year agreement for Convergys to manage Crazy John’s billing operations using Convergys’ real-time rating and billing product, Infinys[r]. In this implementation, Infinys is supporting all aspects of subscriber management including activation, mediation, rating, billing, inventory management, and pro-active messaging capability for all pre- and post-paid services.
“With the deployment of the Convergys solution, we are able to offer our customers even more tailored products and services,” said Stephen Tuffley, Head of Operations for Crazy John’s. “This rapid deployment of one of the industry’s first single convergent pre- and post-paid platforms is a credit to our team and to Convergys’ technology and professional services capabilities.”
“Infinys’ online charging capability allows for the creation of targeted services available to all customers without the constraints and complexity associated with separate legacy pre- and post-paid systems,” said Iain Hackett, Convergys Vice President, Asia Pacific Region. “Crazy John’s is now better positioned with a flexible, scaleable, and high performance billing and relationship management platform that provides a differentiated competitive advantage over its competition.”
With Infinys, real-time capabilities enable the delivery of enhanced services and features to any subscriber, regardless of payment method. Crazy John’s pre-paid customers now have access to features that were previously available only to post-paid customers such as access to usage details via the web. Additionally, post-paid subscribers will be able to enjoy real-time account control features previously available only to pre-paid users.
