Concierge Auctions Continues Its Momentum Out West, With Today's Sale Of A Luxury Ski Home In The Exclusive Yellowstone Club In Big Sky, Montana

9 bidders competed for a chance to own a 5,500-square-foot estate with golf course and mountain views; sale conducted in cooperation with Montana Living ~ Big Sky Real Estate

BIG SKY, Mont., Feb. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Concierge Auctions, the nation's premier luxury real estate auction firm continues to influence the Big Sky, Montana region. The NYC-based company is pleased to announce today's live auction sale of 16 Travertine Road, a fully furnished, custom residence situated on 2.21 acres within the exclusive Yellowstone Club, the world's only private ski and golf community. The sale marks Concierge's seventh successful property auction in the Big Sky area over the past year, and its third within the Club. The mountain chalet, which will offer its new owners views of both Pioneer Mountain and the 18-hole, private championship Tom Weiskopf golf course, sold in cooperation with Martha Johnson of Montana Living ~ Big Sky Real Estate. The buyer is from Seattle and is represented by Carrie Radtke of Big Sky Sotheby's International Realty.

Concierge Auctions' global marketing campaign generated 2,031 website visits from 49 US states (led by New York, Montana, Texas and California) and 29 international countries (led by Canada, Australia, the UK and Singapore). A total of 1,236 prospects were identified, and 9 bidders participated in the sale.

"Working with Concierge was a great experience," stated the seller, Michael Rainen. "We hired the Concierge team knowing that they are the best luxury real estate auction firm in the business, and they proved their value in spades. The buyer interest generated was impressive, and their work alongside our listing agent, Martha Johnson, was seamless. We are thankful for their expert work and excited to hand the house keys over to a new owner."

"The live auction was extremely exciting. A total of nine bidders participated from across the nation, which is a testament to the effective combination of the auction process paired with a local real estate professional. Having worked with Concierge Auctions in the past, I felt confident that our combined efforts would result in another successful sale, which is exactly what happened today," Martha Johnson stated.  "The sellers were thrilled with the outcome, and the buyers look forward to moving into their exquisite Yellowstone Club home. Today was a win-win for all!"

Situated near the northwest corner of Yellowstone National Park, 16 Travertine Road is a 5,500-square-foot, lodge-style home with five bedrooms and five full and one half bathrooms. Rustic architectural details including stone and cedar logs create a mountain feel throughout, while floor-to-ceiling windows allow for incredible views. The property has nearby access to three ski areas — the Club, Big Sky Ski & Summer Resort and Moonlight Basin — offering a combined and impressive 8,000 skiable acres.

This is Concierge Auctions' third auction within the Club and it's second in 2013. Last month, Concierge sold 26 Obsidian Road — a 15,552-square-foot estate that was one of the first and largest residences built in the community. Additionally, the company sold a four-bedroom, six-bathroom residence with private ski bridge access in the Club last March.

"The Yellowstone Club residents are a sophisticated and savvy group of people with specific wants and needs when it comes to the sale of their luxury property. No one understands that better than Concierge Auctions, which is why an increasing number of sellers within the Club and the Big Sky region at large have retained our services," stated Laura Brady, President of Concierge Auctions. "Having sold three significant residences within the Club in the past year, our platform is clearly effective. Working with a qualified agent like Martha Johnson, we set our sights globally and produced multiple bidders within only four weeks, ultimately resulting in another successful sale. We congratulate the new owners of this exclusive mountain property and look forward to returning to Big Sky and the Yellowstone Club again soon."

Cloud data governance was previously an avoided function when cloud deployments were relatively small. With the rapid adoption in public cloud – both rogue and sanctioned, it’s not uncommon to find regulated data dumped into public cloud and unprotected. This is why enterprises and cloud providers alike need to embrace a cloud data governance function and map policies, processes and technology controls accordingly. In her session at 15th Cloud Expo, Evelyn de Souza, Data Privacy and Compliance Strategy Leader at Cisco Systems, will focus on how to set up a cloud data governance program and s...

The industrial software market has treated data with the mentality of “collect everything now, worry about how to use it later.” We now find ourselves buried in data, with the pervasive connectivity of the (Industrial) Internet of Things only piling on more numbers. There’s too much data and not enough information. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Bob Gates, Global Marketing Director, GE’s Intelligent Platforms business, to discuss how realizing the power of IoT, software developers are now focused on understanding how industrial data can create intelligence for industrial operations. We certainly live in interesting technological times. And no more interesting than the current competing IoT standards for connectivity. Various standards bodies, approaches, and ecosystems are vying for mindshare and positioning for a competitive edge. It is clear that when the dust settles, we will have new protocols, evolved protocols, that will change the way we interact with devices and infrastructure. We will also have evolved web protocols, like HTTP/2, that will be changing the very core of our infrastructures. At the same time, we have old approaches made new again like micro-services...
Every innovation or invention was originally a daydream. You like to imagine a “what-if” scenario. And with all the attention being paid to the so-called Internet of Things (IoT) you don’t have to stretch the imagination too much to see how this may impact commercial and homeowners insurance. We’re beyond the point of accepting this as a leap of faith. The groundwork is laid. Now it’s just a matter of time. We can thank the inventors of smart thermostats for developing a practical business application that everyone can relate to. Gone are the salad days of smart home apps, the early chalkb...
Operational Hadoop and the Lambda Architecture for Streaming Data Apache Hadoop is emerging as a distributed platform for handling large and fast incoming streams of data. Predictive maintenance, supply chain optimization, and Internet-of-Things analysis are examples where Hadoop provides the scalable storage, processing, and analytics platform to gain meaningful insights from granular data that is typically only valuable from a large-scale, aggregate view. One architecture useful for capturing and analyzing streaming data is the Lambda Architecture, representing a model of how to analyze rea...
Today’s enterprise is being driven by disruptive competitive and human capital requirements to provide enterprise application access through not only desktops, but also mobile devices. Even as cloud and managed services grow increasingly central to business strategy and performance, challenges remain. The biggest sticking point for companies seeking to capitalize on the cloud is data security. Keeping data safe is an issue in any computing environment, and it has been a focus since the earliest days of the cloud revolution. Understandably so: a lot can go wrong when you allow valuable information to live outside the firewall. Recent revelations about government snooping, along with a steady stream of well-publicized data breaches, only add to the uncertainty
