SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Mimvi, Inc. (OTCQB: MIMV), a pure-play mobile technology company based in Sunnyvale, CA, announced the release of native discovery apps for Microsoft Windows Phone 8 and 7.
These new offerings leverage Mimvi's proprietary search and recommendation technologies for Mobile Apps, Mobile Content and Mobile Products. The Windows Phone 8 app is currently live in Microsoft's app store, with the Windows Phone 7 version arriving before Christmas.
Michael Poutre, Mimvi's CEO and President, commented on the release, "This initiative is aligned with our commitment to ensure Microsoft's consumers and developers are the first to benefit from Mimvi's search and recommendation technologies. It will enable all Windows Phone users the opportunity to discover the growing universe of mobile content available to them."
Poutre adds, "Mimvi is working together with Microsoft on several fronts. We have given Windows Phone an exclusive 30 day release ahead of other platforms. The iOS and Android native apps should hit their respective app marketplaces in January."
In addition to search and recommendation, Mimvi is using Windows Azure to build out a suite of products based on its technology, including MimviLink™, a mobile advertising network that matches relevant mobile apps to web content.
