Kofax® plc (LSE: KFX), a leading provider of Capture Enabled BPM™ (business process management) solutions, today announced that Cornerstone Records Management, a comprehensive records and information management provider, has used Kofax capture software integrated with Microsoft SharePoint to offer greater value to customers through robust scan-to-archive and content management capabilities.
“Cornerstone needed a secure, scalable solution that would expand our business portfolio and help us grow from a regional to national footprint by offering greater value to our customers,” said Nicholas Milne, vice president of Sales Support at Cornerstone. “Using a solution that combined Microsoft SharePoint’s collaboration capabilities with Kofax’s information capture leadership enabled us to provide a robust, new product to help grow our business. Cornerstone continues to innovate new products for our customers, and by partnering with Kofax, our customers benefit from cutting edge, first-to-market solutions.”
Cornerstone Records Management provides document storage, secure document destruction, document imaging and data protection services to its customers. It uses a Kofax solution to automatically capture and perfect images of documents originating in both paper and electronic formats. Meta or index data for the document is then extracted automatically and used to make retrieval easier in a SharePoint repository, so employees in different locations and business lines can have easy access to information. By improving access and visibility into critical information across the enterprise, organizations can better understand that information and quickly decide how best to act on it.
“Cornerstone Records Management’s success is an excellent example of how Kofax capture capabilities can seamlessly integrate with SharePoint to meet current and future information capture needs,” said Martyn Christian, chief marketing officer at Kofax. “By leveraging Kofax’s industry leading capture capabilities with SharePoint, organizations can maximize their knowledge sharing investment while significantly reducing retrieval costs and improving regulatory and compliance efforts.”
Kofax is a managed independent software vendor (ISV) in a Microsoft program that includes less than one percent of all Microsoft partners. As part of this program, Kofax works directly with a Microsoft business development manager to develop strategic input on new solutions for Microsoft platforms such as Microsoft Windows Azure, SharePoint and SQL Server.
