Today, GrapeCity PowerTools announces the launch of the Community Technical Preview (CTP) of Spread WPF-Silverlight. Spread WPF-Silverlight includes a WPF spreadsheet control and a Silverlight spreadsheet control. These controls allow developers to embed the deep functionality found in Microsoft® Excel® into WPF and Silverlight applications, without requiring Microsoft Excel on the client’s machine.
Send an email to labs@GrapeCity.com to sign up for the CTP. You will receive an email from GrapeCity PowerTools explaining the CTP program and instructing where to download the CTP setup.
Adding Spread WPF-Silverlight to applications empowers you with:
- A robust and intuitive API for spreadsheet creation and automation.
- Integrated import, modification, and export of Excel documents.
- Rich data analysis with conditional formatting, filtering, spark lines, and Excel-style grouping.
- Enhanced data-interaction support with drag-fill, cell merge, and more.
Spread WPF-Silverlight is an embedded spreadsheet platform that is ideally suited for the creation of advanced business, engineering, and scientific WPF and Silverlight applications. Use Spread to import Excel documents into your application, apply business rules, and manage the entire user experience. Spread can save the results of data manipulation and analysis to Excel or XML documents.
The design-time experience of Spread WPF-Silverlight could not be easier, thanks to the SpreadSheet Designer. The SpreadSheet Designer is a familiar, easy-to-use designer that allows developers to create and modify spreadsheet layouts without having to edit XAML code and without having to leave Visual Studio.
“The GrapeCity PowerTools development team is proud to launch the CTP for Spread WPF-Silverlight. Every feature and element of Spread has been designed to optimize performance, support defined use cases, and improve the overall user experience,” said Robby Powell, GrapeCity PowerTools Director of Development. “The preliminary feedback has been very positive, and we are eager to hear comments from more WPF and Silverlight developers.”
