Equinix, Inc., a provider of network-neutral data centres and Internet exchange services, announced that Swiftroute, a managed hosting services provider in Singapore, will move their server infrastructure to Equinix's Singapore Internet Business Exchange (IBX) centre.
By locating within Equinix's Singapore IBX, Swiftroute will benefit from the aggregation of networks operating in the centre, as well as the industry-leading security, environmental and physical infrastructure of the IBX. Within this central Internet hub, it will be able to offer its customers direct access to a large pool of network providers and thus provide a more reliable network infrastructure with the cost reductions of directly connecting to network partners within the same facility.
"Due to the increasing needs of our customers and rising bandwidth costs, Swiftroute needed a co-location partner with high availability bandwidth options and scalable infrastructure," said Mr. Glenn Lee, Founder & CEO, Swiftroute. "At Equinix's Singapore IBX centre, Swiftroute can take advantage of a network-rich environment, thereby increasing the flexibility and reliability in the delivery of our managed hosting services to customers, while reducing networking costs by approximately 30 percent."
"Equinix's unique network-rich, high-security environment, combined with the company's commitment to customer satisfaction, helps hosting companies like Swiftroute meet their customers' increasing expectations," said Mr. Lee Yoong Kin, Managing Director of Equinix Singapore. "As the managed hosting industry evolves with more demands for advanced platforms and applications, Swiftroute is well positioned to present its customers, as well as existing Equinix Singapore IBX customers, with a world-class quality data centre offering powered by Equinix."
