CAS Launches Next Generation of Customer Management and Mobility Solutions for the Consumer Products Industry

CAS AG, the leading global provider of Customer Management and Mobility Solutions for the Consumer Products (CP) industry, today launched its new, integrated product suite, called CAS 8. CAS 8 will provide customers with the global mobility and advanced trade promotion management capabilities that they require to leverage their existing ERP investments to drive profitable sales growth.

“Typically, ERP solutions are back-office focused. Regrettably, those legacy systems lack a Mobility solution, and their Customer Management offerings are incomplete,” said Stefan Joneck, Founder and CEO of CAS. “CAS is now in its 25th year of serving the CP industry exclusively. We are at the nexus of deep vertical expertise, and a world-class Mobility platform and since CAS 8 was designed to collaborate with leading ERP platforms, such as SAP, it easily integrates with and complements the SAP solution stack,” Joneck said.

CAS 8 is an integrated suite of Customer Management and Mobility software, including Trade Promotion Management (TPM), Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO), Retail Execution, Direct Store Delivery (DSD), and Field Service. The suite is designed to enable CP companies looking for industry-specific customer management and mobility capabilities to complement and extend existing ERP solutions. The CAS 8 Customer Video can be seen at http://www.cas.com/en/Solutions/.

“We were looking for systems and solutions that would help us to monitor, manage and optimize our trade spending…and that would interface with our backend systems,” said Stan Pingelski, Director, Information Technology Sales Systems, The Campbell’s Soup Company. “Ultimately, we have been able to get visibility of all customer events in one solution.”

CAS 8 also presents significant improvements in speed-to-value and total cost of ownership (TCO). It includes a number of enhancements to the core configuration tools and the next edition of the CAS Pro2 process model. These new tools and enhancements will enable CAS Global Services, as well as our network of global system integration partners, to implement CAS 8 using less resources, time and cost.

“Today’s fast changing consumer demands and the current economic climate make it even more important for consumer products companies to integrate their sales and marketing information and processes to provide factual, up-to-date information, and achieve greater speed, precision and predictability in the trade promotions process right at the point of sale,” said Fabio Vacirca, senior executive, Accenture Consumer Goods & Services. “Our work with leading mobility solutions providers in the sales and marketing field, such as CAS, allows us to combine our industry knowledge, analytical capabilities and global delivery model with the latest technology to provide market insights and help our clients to achieve high performance.”

Also, with this release, CAS 8 affirms the strategic relationship between CAS and Microsoft. CAS, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, is the only globally managed Microsoft Independent Software Vendor (ISV) dedicated to the Consumer Products market. In addition, CAS 8 embraces the spectrum of Microsoft products, including Design & User Experience (Silverlight), Developer Tools (.NET Framework and Visual Studio), Operating System (Windows), Application Server (Windows Server), Database (SQL Server), Reporting & Analytics (SQL Server), Mobile Devices & Software (Windows Mobile), Web Browser (Internet Explorer) and Business Tools (Office).

CAS 8 presents a revolutionary new User Experience, built in collaboration with ERGOSIGN, a leading user interface design firm. CAS 8 will be the first enterprise-wide application of its kind to leverage the rich, interactive capabilities of Microsoft Silverlight, and incorporates a new, business process-driven navigation to deliver a truly differentiated user experience. The result is a completely re-engineered UI, based on design principles that focus on increasing “joy of use” and, ultimately, user adoption. In addition, CAS 8 delivers improved application performance.

CAS 8 is the only integrated software suite developed specifically for the Consumer Products industry that can be deployed on all major Mobility device platforms - including Smartphone, PDA, Tablet and Laptop - in “online” and “offline” environments.
