Today, Equilibrium announced it has been selected as a 2009 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference Awards finalist in Communications Sector Partner of the Year. Equilibrium (www.equilibrium.com), a software company with more than fifteen years experience in automated media processing, worked closely with Microsoft to enhance the value of Microsoft SharePoint by bringing higher levels of collaboration, functionality and visual imaging and video capabilities as well as a self-service Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS).
Equilibrium MediaRich® for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server is a highly effective management and deployment tool for digital media that features a scalable, high-volume media distribution and repurposing engine. It enables companies to control the costs involved, in terms of both time and money, to upload, ingest, enhance metadata, manage, visualize, find, modify, discover, export and deploy media assets in a secure self-service portal. With MediaRich for SharePoint, Microsoft SharePoint's powerful capabilities are extended to include the automated visualization and dynamic processing of Office documents as well as image and video assets. This is a necessity to meet the pace of demands in the advertising, manufacturing, retailing, publishing, communications, entertainment and government market sectors.
“We are honored to accept this high accolade from Microsoft,” said Sean Barger, CEO of Equilibrium. “Equilibrium provides automated media production and delivery solutions for the enterprise and businesses of all sizes, creating efficiency and delivering significant labor savings. We are proud to be recognized by Microsoft for our contribution to the communications sector.”
Awards will be presented in a number of categories, with winners chosen from a pool of nearly 2,000 entrants worldwide. The Microsoft Communications Sector Partner of the Year Award is given to a Communications Sector Partner that has added business value to customers by deploying new and innovative solutions based on Microsoft technologies in hosting, media and entertainment, or telecommunications industries. The award recognizes a partner whose solution has targeted a customer’s business or technical challenge either by identifying a new opportunity or by using technology innovation to address the need.
“Partners are the key to igniting business innovation through great technology as well as helping customer drive down costs,” said Allison L. Watson, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft Corp. “Congratulations to the 2009 WPC Award finalists who have demonstrated a superior level of expertise as well as a focus on delivering customer value. We look forward to seeing these partners fulfill their limitless potential as they continue to provide customers with world-class Microsoft solutions.”
The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the past year. Winners and finalists will be recognized at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2009, the company’s premier annual event for industry partners, being held July 13–16 in New Orleans.
